Title
'La Reforme' in Quebec Health and Social Services; Impact on Jewish Casework Studies
Abstract
Under a 1971 Quebec Government statute, the privately-run Jewish Family Services (Baron de Hirsch Institute) reluctantly decided in 1974 to become the public Jewish Family Services-Social Service Center. The author, who had been the Executive Director of the Jewish Family Services, traces "the etiology of this 'forced marriage' between the public sector and private Jewish philanthropy."
