Abstract
The Halifax-born Jesuit priest R. Eric O'Connor (1907-1980) taught mathematics and physics at Montreal's Loyola College (now part of Concordia University) in the mid-1930s and from 1941 to 1974, and was a part-time lecturer in those fields at Concordia University until 1978. In 1945 O'Connor was one of the founding members of Montreal's The Thomas More Institute for Adult Education. He served as its Dean and Vice-Principal from its opening until 1962, and its President and Director of Studies until 1980. O'Connor also served as a member of The Commission of Adult Education of the Superior Council of Education of Quebec from 1969 to 1973.
