Abstract
An examination of the iconography depicting the seven waterfall landscapes in the Quebec City region, from the arrival of artists and topographers after 1759 who were members the British militray to works that appeared in Picturesque Canada in the late nineteenth century. Among the artists who painted the 300 illustrations of these waterfalls that the author examines are little-known members of the British military, as well as by George Heriot, James Pattison Cockburn, and William Henry Bartlett .
