Abstract
The Erskine Presbyterian Church was formed in 1832 and originally was made up mostly of skilled working class labourers. The congregation's first church, from 1835 to 1866, was on Lagauchetière and Chenneville Streets, then moved to Saint Catherine and Peel Street (1866-1894), and finally to Sherbrooke and Avenue du Musée. The church building is now part of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
