Title
Les installations portuaires de la société Lymburner & Crawford : Quand un port change de cap
Abstract
An examination of how eighteenth-century English-speaking merchants in Quebec City, specifically the inter-related Lymburner family and the Crawford family, changed the waterfront of the town by building port facilities that better suited commercial activities and the fluvial environment. The author details the construction of these facilities (wharves and piers) and explains how they changed the urban fabric of Quebec City's Lower Town.
