L'histoire des "possédants" anglophones au Québec
|
Abstract |
One of the first sociological examinations of English-speaking Quebec. The author outlines the demographic changes within this multi-ethnic community, the impact of language legislations, especially Bill 22 and Bill 101, on its educational system, and its evolving integration into the larger Quebec society, moving away from seeing itself as part of the English Canadian majority and towards portraying itself as a Quebec linguistic minority.
