Questions de modernité et postmodernité dans la sculpture actuelle : un cas : Alomph Abram de David Moore
|
Abstract |
The author examines the evolution of contemporary sculpture, from modernism to post-modernism, concluding with an analysis of David Moore's 1991 "aLomph aBram," an installation made of red cedar, aluminum, slate and glass. The Irish-born Moore (b. 1943) immigrated to Montreal in his twenties. He is a graduate of the École des beaux-arts de Montréal and holds a master’s degree in art education from Concordia University, where he taught from 1970 to 2006.
