|
Abstract |
The author examines the factors leading to the formation in 1875 of that ecclesiastical organization known as The Presbyterian Church in Canada. He points out that the union movement, a product of contemporary situations in Christendom in general and Canadian Presbyterianism in particular, resulted in a legislative union of Kirk, Secession and Free Presbyterian bodies in Canada.
