| Abstract |
Founded in May 1920, the Montreal-based Beaver Hall Group of painters is best known for the works of its ten female members. They were: Emily Coonan, Nora Collyer, Prudence Heward, Mabel Lockerby, Mabel May, Kathleen Morris, Lilias Torrance Newton, Sarah Robertson, Anne Savage and Ethel Seath. In 2000, the author published a book on these women artists titled: Painting Friends: The Beaver Hall Women Painters.
