Abstract |
An examination of how the subject of multiculturalism was viewed in nine English-language Canadian newspapers in 2006, including Montreal's The Gazette. The author concludes that, overall, the 2006 media debate over Canada's multiculturalism policy, compared to the coverage in the 1980s, has shifted in favour of maintaining multiculturalism. However, the media also point out areas where there appears to be problems with the concept.
