Abstract
Approximately 5,000 Anglophones live in scattered fishing villages along Quebec's Lower North Shore. They constitute over three-quarters of the overall population of the region. Of the fifteen villages on the Lower North Shore, twelve are solidly Anglophone, two are Francophone, and Blanc Sablon is bicultural.
