The Story of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Montreal: 1894-1969, Seventy-Five Years of Service
Abstract
The history of Montreal's Queen Elizabeth Health Complex can be traced back to 1894 when it was known as the Montreal Homeopathic Hospital. This institution was situated on McGill College Avenue until 1927. At that time the demand for more beds led to a public appeal for $500,000 which allowed the hospital to move to Marlowe Avenue. The hospital was closed in 1995, twenty-six years after this book was published.
