Abstract |
The first Bonaventure Station was built in 1847 as the main terminal for the Montreal and Lachine Railway. The structure was leased to the Grand Trunk Railway in 1864, and GTR subsequently purchased the building and incorporated it as the railway's Montreal terminal. On March 1, 1916, the building was destroyed by fire.
