Preparing CEGEP Students for University Education: A Case Study
|
| Abstract |
Fifty-three students at Vanier College, a Montreal-area CEGEP, took part in this study to determine whether the Liberal Arts program at the school contributed to the students' preparation for university. The author found that a high majority of the participants thought themselves prepared for university based on the following factors at the CEGEP: academic rigor, good teaching, a highly motivated student body, appropriate administrative support, encouragement from peers and the home, and a positive school climate.
