Quebec Loop Broke Color Line in 1935
|
Abstract |
Although the assumption is that Jackie Robinson broke baseball's colour barrier when he joined the Montreal Royals in 1946, the actual distinction of breaking the colour barrier in Quebec baseball belongs to Alfred Wilson who joined the Granby Red Sox of the Quebec Provincial League in July 1935.
