Abstract |
A neo-Marxist analysis of the language question in Quebec from the Quiet Revolution to the early 1970s. The author focuses on the interplay between the Francophone bourgeoisie and petite bourgeoisie over the language issue, and the use of the French language as the key component in the process of legitimating aspects of the post-Quiet Revolution capitalist state.
