Abstract |
Reaction of English-speaking doctors in Quebec in the early 1990s who, the author states, were particularly demoralized and bitter and felt caught between a rock and a hard place. "The rock is the threat of Quebec independence and the political uncertainty that has once again gripped the province. The hard place is Bill 120, legislation that would give provincial bureaucrats a much stronger say in how doctors practice." Doctors interviewed discuss plans to leave the province.
