Abstract
A study of the upbringing, education and literary careers of Malca Friedman (1896-1996) and her sister, Ruby Friedman (1900-1985). The author examines the work of these two Montreal Jewish writers, and places them in the context of Montreal literary activities during the 1920s and 1930s.
