Abstract |
An analysis of the process of change in the development of organized lacrosse in Canada, from August 29, 1844, the date of the first recorded match between a White team and a First Nation team that took place in Montreal, to 1914 when the First World War coincided with the reduction in senior lacrosse activity in Canada. Between 1844 and 1866, Montreal was the hub of lacrosse activity in Canada.
