| Abstract |
The Royal Canadian Dragoons, the most senior cavalry regiment in Canada, was formed in 1883 by Lieut.-Col. J.F. Turnbull at the Citadel in Quebec City. From 1901 to 1940 the regiment was stationed at St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Today the regiment is based at CFB Petawawa, Ontario.
