Abstract |
The authors explore more than a century of changing ideas about the health care of Canadian children through the architecture of three urban hospitals: one in Toronto, The Hospital for Sick Children (founded in 1875), and two in Montreal, The Children's Memorial Hospital (founded in 1903, its name changed to the Montreal Children's Hospital in 1954) and Hôpital Ste-Justine (founded in 1907).
