Abstract |
Includes information on the Irish Quebec students who studied at Le Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière from 1827 to 1870. The Irish-born Jeremiah Gallagher (1837-1914) graduated from the Collège in 1864 and later taught English and commercial subjects at the school. He went on to work as an engineer in Quebec City's waterworks department. He was a noted Fenian sympathizer in Quebec City in the late nineteenth century. The author was Jeremiah Gallagher's granddaughter.
