Abstract
The battle at Lacolle was fought on November 7, 1838, and at Odelltown (now part of Lacolle) on November 9, 1838. The loyalist volunteers at Odelltown were under the command of Lewis Odell and Charles McAllister, and the Patriote rebels were commanded by Robert Nelson, Médard Hébert and Charles Hindelang. The Patriotes were defeated in this battle, as they had been two days earlier. The battle at Odelltown was the last skirmish of the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1838.
