Includes a list of Outaouais members of the pre-Confederation Legislature from such counties as Pontiac, Argenteuil, Vaudreuil and Deux-Montagnes. Includes biographies of John Mure (ca.1776-1823), elected to represent York, (later divided into Vaudreuil, Deux-Montagnes and Ottawa), in 1804, 1808 and 1809; and William Forbes (1787-1814), elected to represent York in 1814 but died before he could take his seat.
