| Abstract |
In 1855, the Foster Brothers Glass Works was established in St. Johns, Quebec, now St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. In 1880 the company was bought by a group of Montreal businessmen, headed by William and David Yuile. The Yuiles moved the firm to Montreal and in 1890 changed its name to the Dominion Glass Company.
