Eastern Townships Community Search Conference
|
Abstract |
Using a community-based participatory action research methodology, the authors worked collaboratively with the Townshipper' Association between 2007 and 2010 to assist the English-speaking community in the Eastern Townships to develop a picture of its most desirable and achievable future and a set of strategic action plans to create that future. The authors outline the preparation, the implementation, and the follow-up and diffusion stages of this project and then compare the actual achieved conditions with the ideal sought-after conditions. Their conclusion includes a summary of the participants' findings and their report to the English-speaking community.
