Richard William Heneker (1823-1912) was a commissioner of the British American Land Company from 1855 to 1902, president of the Eastern Townships Bank and the Paton Manufacturing Company, Mayor of Sherbrooke, a Chancellor of Bishop’s University and founder and first president of the Shrebrooke Protestant Hospital. The author looks at Heneker's private life based on a diary he kept and the Heneker photo album, now available through the Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa.
