Abstract |
A study in the social geography of three "bi-ethnic" rural Eastern Townships communities. The author studied to what extent the "social spaces" of the Anglophone and Francophone inhabitants differ, in what way they changed between the 1940s and the 1980s, and what the impact is on the social conditions of the two language groups. The three communities studied were Sawyerville (Compton County), Durham-Sud, and Stanbridge East (Missisquoi County).
