St. Patrick - A Profile

Abstract |
The author describes the summer attraction of the Bas-St-Laurent village of St. Patrick (now part of Rivière-du-Loup) where his family vacationed since 1867. Originally a farming area, summer residents in the nineteenth century, mostly Anglophones from Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto, transforrmed the village into a sought-after summer rural retreat.
