Title |
Westmount Park United Church : A Church in the Gothic Style
|
Abstract |
The author describes several aspects of Westmount Park United Church, with the final objective of understanding the movement of which the building is a part, as well as the building itself. He briefly explains the history and construction of the building, then the history of the Gothic Revival. He argues that this will allow the church to be placed in the movement, and permit it to be critically considered according to the principles by which it was designed.
