Abstract |
The American-born author (1873-1955) was a pioneer member in 1904 of the founding of the Montreal Ski Club, and helped found the Canadian Amateur Ski Association in 1920. He served as president of the association for ten years. The Canadian Amateur Ski Association was originally comprised of the Montreal Ski Club, and a club in Trois-Rivières and one in Ottawa. By 1936, there were 94 clubs across the country that were members of the association.
