Abstract |
A 1920s sociological examination by the author of the social institutions (home, school, church) and standards of living of Slovakian immigrants in Montreal. The author's examination is based on a six-month stay in Slovakia, under the direction of McGill University's Department of Sociology, and to his interactions with Slovalian immigrants in Montreal as part of his direction of Community House on Ontario Street.
