Abstract |
The dual purpose of this study was: (a) to trace the number of Jews in each of the urban centers of Canada in all the census years during the period from 1851-1951, and ascertain what relationship there may have been between the size group of the Jewish population and the growth or decline of the Jewish population in that community, and (b) to provide a gazetteer or list of every incorporated city, town and village in Canada which had Jews among its residents in any of the census years from 1851-1951.
