Abstract |
The name Capelton mines was applied to a group of mines comprising the Capel mine, the Albert mines, and Wheal Betsy, all situated near the village of Albert Mines, in Hatley Township. Copper was discovered in the area in 1863, and mining ended at the Capelton mines 1907 and at the nearby Eustis mine in 1939.
