Abstract |
CIV/n (Ezra Pound's abbreviation for "civilization") was a Montreal poetry magazine published between 1953 and 1955. There were seven issues published of CIV/n, all reproduced in this book. As well as an Introduction by the magazine's editor (Aileen Collins), the book contains the essay "Recalling the 50s" by Irving Layton, photographs of Montreal poets of the 1950s, and an essay on "The Significance of 'Contact' and 'CIV/n' " by Ken Norris.
