A geneological study of the descendants of Thomas Cooke (d. 1808), a native of County Cork, Ireland, who immigrated to Quebec in the 1780s. One of his children, Thomas Cooke (1792-1870) served as the first Catholic Bishop of Trois-Rivières from 1852 to 1870.
