Social and Educational Adjustment of West Indian Students in a Montreal High School
|
Abstract |
The author compares the academic achievements and social adjustments of 72 English-speaking students of West Indian origin who attend a Montreal high school, circa 1979. All the students were born and received some of their education in the West Indies. He found that students from Trinidad had the highest levels of academic achievement, but still had problems with respect to social adjustment.
