Abstract
The author discusses Rabbi Yudel Rosenberg's forgery of Judaic texts. The Polish-born Rabbi Rosenberg (1859-1935) immigrated to Canada in 1913 and moved to Montreal in 1919. A prolific writer, he published books on a wide range of topics, including Talmud commentary, halakhic matters, and sermons. His most significant contribution to literature is his eight-volume translation from Aramaic to Hebrew of the Zohar, a classic work of Jewish mysticism, published between 1924 and 1931.
