The history of the personalities, institutions, ideas and missions that formed the Redemptorists in English Canada from the early nineteenth century to the late twentieth century. A Redemptorist mission was first established in Montreal, the first in Quebec, in 1865, focusing on the city's Irish Catholics. A second mission was established in Quebec City in 1874, based in St. Patrick's Church. Pages 29 to 41 outlines the early history of the Redemptorists in Quebec City, serving the English-speaking Irish population.
