Title
Curriculums Plural: The Case of English at English CEGEPs
Abstract
English language and English literature at Quebec's English CEGEPs has been characterized as "curriculums plural," with each department having its own curricular history and methods. This practice is different from other CEGEP disciplines where the Ministère de l'Éducation sets forth explicit syllabi for unified curricula. The author outlines a brief history of the arguments and agreements between the Ministère and the English departments that produced the "curriculums plural" situation.
