|
Abstract |
From the 1860s to his death, Alexander Walbridge (1828-1897) was an inventor, a manufacturer and a builder in the village of Mystic in the Eastern Townships. He left an imprint that remains to this day in the form of a remarkable twelve-sided barn, a Gothic-style brick church, and a building whose upper storey once served local students’ higher education. The film contains interviews with Walbridge’s four grandchildren. The barn is open to the public, housing the Missisquoi Historical Society Museum's agricultural exhibit.
