Abstract
An examination of separatist Francophones and federalist Anglophones who manage to get along despite their political differences. The referendum held in Quebec in 1995 did not help calm the debate over sovereignty that is shaking the province. Shot over the months following the referendum, this documentary presents ordinary Quebecers grappling with the problem in their personal lives: divided families, neighbors and workmates on opposing camps, young people looking for new ways of approaching the question. The film is punctuated by the sharp features of the comic musical duo Bowser and Blue.
