Abstract |
The story of British-born Jack Chapman (1897-1918) who immigrated to Montreal with his parents in 1911. He was conscripted into the Canadian Army in January 1918. He was killed when a German artillery shell exploded right next to him, killing him instantly, on September 22, 1918, at Tilloy-les-Mofflaines, a few miles east of Arras, France.
