| Abstract |
An examination of the role of the Chinese media in Montreal in the process of integration of Chinese immigrants into Quebec society. The author analyzes the content of three Chinese publications (Sept Days, La presse chinoise, and Journal chinois Sinoquébec) and one English language publication (The Gazette) to argue that these publications fulfill a positive function and react in a constructive manner via the information they furnish, the activities that they organize and the integration strategies that they use so that their readers can adapt well and integrate themselves into their new culture.
