Abstract |
The language debates of the 1970s and 1980s in Quebec were often described as a clash between proponents of French-speaking collective rights and proponents of English-speaking individual rights. The author argues that the various pieces of linguistic legislation also gave expression to the collective rights of Anglophones in the province.
