| Abstract |
Artist Kathleen Moir Morris (1893-1986) was a member of Montreal's Beaver Hall Group. Two of her paintings mentioned in this articled that were recently acquired by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts are: "Gardens of the Grand Séminaire, Montreal" (painted after 1932); and "Preparatory Sketch for Beaver Hall Hill, Montreal" (painted in 1936 or before). The author describes Morris' composition techniques for both paintings.
