Abstract |
A biography of Montreal artist Kathleen Moir Morris (1893-1986) accompanying an exhibition of her paintings in September 1983 at Queen's University's Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Morris spent ten years (1907–1917) at the Art Association of Montreal studying under William Brymner. She also spent two summers studying under Maurice Cullen at his outdoor sketching classes. In 1914, she began exhiniting her paintings at the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and at the Art Association of Montreal. She joined the Beaver Hall Group in 1920 and stayed in contact with the other women artists of this group after it disbanded in 1922.
