Abstract |
The Beaconsfield Golf Club was incorporated in 1904 under letters patent granted to Benjamin Tooke and forty-nine other founding members. The original members of the Club were from the Westmount Golf Club where they could not accept the ban of golf on Sunday. Beaconsfield Golf Club was one of eight founding members of the Quebec Golf Association in 1920, and has twice hosted the Canadian Open, in 1946 and 1956.
