Abstract |
A rebuttal to A.T. Galt's pamphlet, Civil Liberty in Lower Canada. Thomas White (1830-1888), co-owner of the Montreal Gazette, claimed in his pamphlet that the position of the English-speaking minority in Quebec, especially in the fields of politics and education, had not been jeopardized in the nine years since the creation of the Province of Quebec within a federal union.
