The Education of Non-Catholic English-Speaking Physically Handicapped Children in Montreal
|
Abstract |
A survey of the conditions under which the education of non-Catholic English-speaking children with serious physical handicaps (the deaf, the blind, the crippled) was conducted in Montreal in the mid-1950s, and the extent to which provision was made in the Protestant school system for children with less serious handicaps. The author compares the educational provisions in Montreal at that time with provisions for similar children in Ontario, the United States and England.
